Ductless Mini-Split Systems

Heating and cooling for the spaces your ductwork can't reach — garages, additions, basements, and whole homes without ducts.

No Ducts Required

Comfort for the rooms central systems leave behind

A mini-split conditions a space directly — no ductwork, no tearing into walls, no extending your central system past what it was sized for. One outdoor unit, one or more indoor heads, each with its own temperature control.

Mini-Split Installation

Single-zone and multi-zone systems sized for the actual space.

  • Garage and shop heating/cooling
  • Home additions and bonus rooms
  • Finished basements
  • Whole-home multi-zone systems
  • Cold-climate models for year-round use

The garage-shop favorite

If you work out of your garage or shop, a mini-split is usually the cleanest answer to "how do I heat and cool this space?" It doesn't share air with the house, it doesn't need ductwork run through the attic, and it holds temperature well even in a poorly insulated space when sized correctly.

We size these based on the actual space — insulation, ceiling height, sun exposure, and how you use it — so it performs in January and July, not just on the spec sheet.

Not sure ductless is the right fit?

Sometimes extending existing ductwork or adding a small conventional system is the better call. Tell us about the space and we'll give you a straight comparison of the options, with real numbers.

Ductless system questions

What is a ductless mini-split?

A ductless mini-split is a heating and cooling system with an outdoor unit connected to one or more indoor units mounted on a wall or ceiling. It requires no ductwork — refrigerant lines run through a small opening in the wall — which makes it ideal for spaces that central systems can't reach.

Where do mini-splits make the most sense?

Garages and shops, home additions, finished basements, bonus rooms over garages, older homes without ductwork, and any room that's always too hot or too cold. They also work well as the primary system for smaller homes.

Do mini-splits heat as well as cool?

Yes — most mini-splits are heat pumps, so a single unit provides both heating and cooling. Cold-climate models heat effectively through Colorado winters.

Can one outdoor unit serve multiple rooms?

Yes. Multi-zone systems connect one outdoor unit to several indoor units, each with its own thermostat control, so you can condition several rooms independently.
